Hardly any artist of our time is as famous – and at the same time as unknown – as Banksy. Since the 1990s, his works have appeared overnight on walls from Bristol and London to New York and Bethlehem. To this day, nobody knows for certain who he is.
The art world's most famous unknown
Banksy works with stencils, fast and precise, often with a wink. His images are political, poetic and open to everyone: they hang not in museums but on the street. That is exactly what has made him one of the most influential voices in contemporary art.
Girl with Balloon – an image that went around the world
In 2002, a little girl reaching for a red, heart-shaped balloon appeared on a staircase on London's South Bank, next to the words “There is always hope”. “Girl with Balloon” became Banksy's best-known motif – an image of hope, love and the things we cannot hold on to.
It became world-famous in 2018: at Sotheby's in London, the framed picture shredded itself moments after the hammer fell, in front of the audience. The half-destroyed work was renamed “Love is in the Bin” and sold again in 2021 for around £18.6 million.

Art you can wear
For the Zirconswiss ft. Banksy Edition, we bring this motif to the Bow-Watch-Tie. On both wings, the girl reaches for her balloon; at the centre sits the Swiss watch movement.
The edition was created with the artist's written consent. It is limited to 25 pieces, handcrafted in Switzerland and presented in its own case.
For collectors
The Zirconswiss ft. Banksy Edition has no fixed price: interested collectors place a bid on the product page. We are also happy to advise you in person at our boutique in Biel/Bienne.
