Groom and groomsmen: the Bow-Watch-Tie for your wedding

On the wedding day every detail counts, and the bow tie sits right in the middle of every photo. The Zircon Swiss Bow-Watch-Tie is a handcrafted bow tie with an integrated Swiss watch. It turns an accessory into a keepsake of the day. This guide helps with choosing the colour, coordinating with the groomsmen and planning your order.

Why a Bow-Watch-Tie for a wedding?

A groom rarely looks at his wrist on his big day, and a wristwatch often gets in the way during the ring exchange or in close-up photos of the hands. On the Bow-Watch-Tie, the watch sits at the collar, where the knot of a bow tie would normally be.

Inside is a Swiss Made quartz movement ETA 978.002, protected by sapphire crystal and a bezel of faceted zirconium dioxide ceramic. The bow tie is made of silk from Como and handcrafted in Switzerland.

Choosing a colour: Classic White, Classic Black or Barock

The Classic White is the natural choice for the groom. White silk goes with a light shirt, a light suit or a tailcoat and sets the groom apart from the guests.

The Classic Black suits a tuxedo and weddings with a black tie dress code. Both Classic models are priced at CHF 1,900.

The Barock line in Brown, Silver or Blue, at CHF 2,500, features ornamental silk. It suits couples who want to pick up a colour from their wedding theme, such as blue or silver.

Coordinating the groom and groomsmen

A proven approach: the groom wears the Classic White and the groomsmen wear the Classic Black. This creates a clear unity in the group photo while the groom remains easy to spot.

If you need several pieces for groomsmen or ushers, it is best to ask us directly. On request, Zircon Swiss will confirm which models and colours are available in the quantity you need.

A simple list helps with planning: who wears which colour, who wears a tuxedo or a suit, and who receives the bow tie as a gift? With these details, your enquiry can be answered quickly and every piece will match on the day.

The Bow-Watch-Tie as a gift for the best man

Many grooms thank their best man and groomsmen with a gift. A Bow-Watch-Tie worn on the wedding day and kept afterwards does both: it is part of the look and a thank-you for their support.

For several groomsmen, the Classic models at CHF 1,900 each are a natural choice; for a special single piece, the Barock line at CHF 2,500. You will find more ideas in our gift guide for men.

Timing: enquire early

The Bow-Watch-Tie is made by hand, and some models are limited. If you are planning a particular model or several matching pieces for your wedding, enquire early, ideally as soon as the date and dress code are fixed.

This leaves time to confirm availability and delivery and to try the bow tie on once before the day.

A keepsake that lasts

After the wedding, the suit goes back into the wardrobe and the Bow-Watch-Tie into its wooden case with a piano-lacquer finish. It comes with a certificate of authenticity in physical form and on the blockchain.

It can be worn again on anniversaries, at friends' weddings or at galas. The battery lasts about 36 months, and a 2-year warranty covers manufacturing and material defects.

Frequently asked questions

Which Bow-Watch-Tie suits the groom?

Usually the Classic White, as it sets the groom apart from the guests. For a black tie dress code, the Classic Black also works.

As early as possible, once the date and dress code are fixed. The bow ties are made by hand and some models are limited.

Is the watch weatherproof on the day?

The watch is rated 3 ATM and protected against splashes and rain, but it is not made for swimming.
